Orlando Travel Guide
The majority of visitors to Orlando are there for the theme parks, Walt Disney World being by far the most famous. The city has really been built around this attraction, growing and developing to cater for the demand of the theme park visitors. In addition to Disney World, Universal Studios is the other major attraction. Both parks are huge, being made up of several different elements, each a destination in its own right. Both also offer their own hotels on site, ideal for families who will spend most of their time in the parks. The hotels are themed and are very well put together, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
There are many many hotels within the city itself too, with International Drive being the best known area for them, providing easy access to both the main theme parks, as well as having a location that is surrounded by other places of interest to holidaymakers.
Although there is such a lot to do in Orlando, easily enough to fill holiday, many visitors will pick up a hire car at the airport which allows them to see more of Florida state. In contrast to Orlando itself there is much natural beauty to admire around Florida, the Everglades being a major National Park that covers large parts of the state and allows close up views of alligators and many other animals in their natural habitat.
The best way to enjoy Orlando, especially for family visitors, is to create a balance between the different theme parks, which are awesome and really cannot be missed, and the more natural parts of Florida, again amazing in their own way. Also don't miss Seaworld, a blend between the two where nature meets theme park.
